Abstract

 This research on  “A Comparative  Self-Determination (Adhithana-citta) in the Views of Ronda Byne and Buddhiamis studied in 2 objectives, namely; to compare  Self-determination (Adhithana-citta) between Ronda Byrne and  Buddhism in the issues of concept, principles, methods, goals, achievement, the two forms studied in similarities and differences.

From The study is found that Self-Determination of Ronda Byrne in the Secret comes from a book called The Science Of Getting Rich being integration with the concept of the ‘How To’.  The book was in popular rank for 100 years, like Think And Grow Rich and many others books combined with a belief in gravity. It was identified as the rules of nature combined with the Christian faith also.

The goal of Ronda Byrne is the achievement of the modern world of capitalism such as money, the weight, the interpersonal man, the convenience  of life. In thise case, If we believe in the law of attraction. That will be achieved without any limitation in limited resource, in Difficulty for achievement or time of completion

The mental determination according to way of Buddhism is used for happy life in the present and  uprise a self to Dhamma highery without attachment to the result of merit such as wealth or sacred

Buddhism starts from the principle that the natural law of work then add management by bring mental determination for the direction of their life, or the goal of them by using the power of merit, of truth or goodness, of sacred helping empower into the gola successfully. Its procedure will use the power of merit direct to goodness and to goal of mental determination. In the points of  truth and goodness focus on being in self for deleting dangers in front by the power for the Triple Gem and sacred.

There are three goals of mental determination, namely; basic level, intermediate and high level that corresponses to three meanings, which considering the time to accomplishment, which is separated into four periods, namely; time immediately, time in this life, time in the future and time in the final life.

This results of comparison, at firsly, the both aim at success of life in the present life too. Buddhism has religious views, so mental determination focus on merit and attainment of nirvana also.
