Abstract

ABSTRACT

 

               The objectives of this research were: 1. to study generality of human resource development of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya university (MCU);            2. to study concepts and theories including Buddhadhamma concerning human resource development; and 3. to present model of the integrated human resource development of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya university. The research is the Qualitative Research through in-depth interviewing 30 administrators and focus group discussion of 10 specialists in both Buddhism and human resource development.   The data were analyzed in accordance with the research’s objectives with the help of Descriptive Analysis and Content Analysis.

               The findings of the study were as follows:

               1. The human resource development of MCU was that there were several training programs in order to create and change personnel’s behaviors and to drive personnel to gain knowledge and improve ability and skills for development of work, experiences and potential in working. In the current year, the MCU issues plans and rules in order to support the human resource development with the aim to strengthen the organization in the near future.

               2. According to the objective two it was found that the training, education and development, being of systematic activities that result changing personnel’s behaviours and effectiveness in work, consults to the Four Bhavanas (Four Cultivations) which are regarded as the system for human resource development consisting of Kayabhavana (Physical Development) stands for physical development for benefits of oneself and others; Silabhavana (Moral Development) stands for the development of 5 precepts in order to purify physical and verbal aspects; Cittabhavana (Emotional Development) stands for the development of emotion that is to purify and concentrate one’s mind with the help of Samadhi (Concentration); and Pannabhavana (Wisdom Development) stands for the development of wisdom that is to reach knowledge through training, education and development according to Nadler’s theory.

               3. The model of human resource development of MCU was that the human resource development consist of Kayabhavana which stands for physical development for benefits of oneself and others; Silabhavana stands for the development of 5 precepts in order to purify physical and verbal aspects; Cittabhavana stands for the development of emotion that is to purify and concentrate one’s mind with the help of Samadhi; and Pannabhavana stands for the development of wisdom that is to reach knowledge through training, education and development.    It also concludes the comprehension in the system of relationship between the things that depends on each other by nature and in reality of formation is always a changing in accordance with the law of nature.

               The above mentioned the human resource development of the MCU, mostly personnel of the MCU has paid a great attention in performance, behavior, concentration and intention including to improve for one’s goodness and greatness. And also it appears that there is a stress on the human resource development for the sake of encouraging personnel to gain knowledge and improve ability and skills for development of working experiences and potential in working. And the most important thing is that they see through the things’ of changing which happens on every moment of daily life.
