Abstract

 

ABSTRACT

 

This study is of 3 objectives, i.e. (1) to study the ideas and theories of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) according to Sagahavatthu; (2) to study the ideas and theories of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the present; and (3) to analyze the process of strengthening the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of Suvarnabhumi Airport.  

 

          From the study, it is found that the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) according to Buddhist principles, giving both in the forms of concrete materials or the knowledge to people, is respected because it is the giving for social benefits in living together in accordance with the Buddha’s ways of giving in the Four Sagahavatthu. This Dhamma is presented by the researcher to be harmonized with CSR.     

 

          From studying the ideas and theories of CSR in the present that need the people and societies to perform activities with the virtue, be in responsible of every action to create the pleasing societies for living, organizations turn to pay attention to the trends of the social and environmental problems, especially the issue of CSR in business organizations to prevent the conflicts from the effects of their business operations. 

From studying the process to enhance the CSR of Suvarnabhumi Airport, it is found that its business operation in accordance with the Securities and Exchange Commission with the purpose of making business along with cares for the societies and environments under ethics, and with the good directing as well as supervising, will normally yield the people in societies to live happily, together.
