The aims of this research were 1) to study the academic administration for excellence according to IV Iddhipada dhamma (iddhipāda, path of accomplishment); 2) to compare the opinion levels of the academic administration for excellence according to IV Iddhipada; 3) to present the ways to promote and develop the academic administration for excellence according to IV Iddhipada dhamma in the basic education schools under the Secondary Educational Service Office Area 25. The samples of this research were 345 administrators and teachers in the research area, selected by simple random sampling. The research tools were a rating scale questionnaire with its reliability value of .85. The statistics used were: Frequency, Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, t-test (Independent Sample) and f-test (One-way ANOVA) and Least Significance Difference (LSD).

The research results revealed that the statistic values of the academic administration for excellence according to IV Iddhipada in overall and each aspect perspectives were at a high level. The highest score can be seen in the aspect of ‘vocational capacity’ and ‘participation of family and community’, followed by ‘learning management’, ‘learning atmosphere’; and the least was seen in that of ‘leadership skills’.

Based on the comparison, classified by the samples’ positions and working experiences, the statistic values of the academic administration for excellence according to IV Iddhipada dhamma in both overall and each aspect perspectives were indifferent. Classified by their school sizes, the statistic scores were different.

The ways to promote and develop the academic administration for excellence according to IV Iddhipada in the basic education schools in the research area were that the administrators and teachers should focus on teaching and learning processes, cultivate desirable values, promote democracy and praise the monarchy; students should have a positive attitude towards their country as a youth of the nation; the administrators and teachers should be trained in academic leadership; the knowledge transfer and academic administration should be systematic to the best of the community; the administrators and teachers should have self-assessment with professional standards, regularly developed to be a professional executive and teacher; the main virtues of IV Iddhipada are a way of success for students to take seriously for living; the atmosphere in the classroom is conducive to the learning activities; the administrators should have the learning resources outside the classroom regularly to directly experience the students and enable them to utilize as the benefits of living; there should also be a study and research through online media to facilitate the fast, diverse and modern change; organization is the most successful in all aspects; family and community should cooperate in organizing activities and supports for educational institutions for sustainable development to produce the quality students for Thai society and the world.
