The thesis has two objectives as the follows : 1) to study the history and development of Buddhist art in Lana, 2) to study the  succession and Creation of Lanna Buddhist Arts through the works of Phra Benjimin Suta in Wat Hadnark, Sop Tia Sub-District, Chomthong District, Chiang Mai Province. This the Qualitative Research based on the Documents and the interview. The Results were found that :

The History and Development of Buddhist arts in the Lanna have come side by side with the arising of Lanna Kingdom. The Original Lanna style of Buddhist art is  Phra Singh, the Buddha Image found in Chiang Saen. Another style of Buddhists in Lanna is Dwaravadi Style having been influenced by the handicraft of Haripunchai ruled by Chammadevi Queen.  Further more, Buddhist Arts were influenced by Sukhothai Style have found in the reign of King Kue Na. He had constructed many Monasteries over Chiang Mai. And has built a number of temples. Before the Lana Kingdom falling down to Myanmar, the Buddhist arts still kept continual construction and restoration patronized by the Royal Families.

The succession and creation of the Lanna Buddhist Arts in Wat Hadnark is a carpenter's work aiming to practice the monks, novices and the interested students with the purpose of (1) to worship the Buddhist, (2) to study the Buddhist arts, (3) to bring Buddhist Arts back to the temple.

The outcome of the succession of Phra Benjama Suda’s Buddhist Arts in Wat  Hadnark was based on the following factors : (1) the expertise and handicrafts were the heritage that learned from  family. (2) an interest of monks, novices and  student groups is focused on  the Buddhist arts with their teacher, (3) the process of study that Wat is the  source of learning for community and  (4) the Idea of succession and creation Buddhist Arts   leads to the knowledge of  the History of Buddhism in Lanna and the inheritance of the Buddhist arts in Wat Hadnark, the process of creation and inheritance via the alternative or in-formal education that at the present, still maintains the subject of Buddhist arts.
