Abstract

The objectives of research were (1) to study moral and ethics promotion for students of Thamakawitthayakom school, Thamaka district, Kanchanaburi province, (2) to compare the opinions of students towards moral and ethics promotion for students of Thamakawitthayakom school, Thamaka district, Kanchanaburi province, classified by personal data, and (3) to study the problems, obstacles and suggestions for moral and ethics promotion for students of Thamakawitthayakom school, Thamaka district, Kanchanaburi province. The research methodology was the mixed method research, that the quantitative research used the questionnaire as the tool for the data collection in the field study from 281 students of Thamakawitthayakom school, Thamaka district, Kanchanaburi province. The statistics were used for the data analysis through frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation (S.D.), t-test, F-test, One-way Analysis of Variance and Least Significant Difference: LSD. The qualitative research had the documentary analysis and interview as the tool for the data collection in the field study from 12 key informants and analyzed the data through the content analysis technique.

             The findings of this research were as following:

             1. Moral and ethics promotion for students of Thamakawitthayakom school, Thamaka district, Kanchanaburi province , overall, was in high at mean of 4.22, when considering in each aspect, found that in high level all aspects. The highest aspect was the polite aspect and the cleanness aspect, high level at mean of 4.26. The aspect with the lowest mean was the saving aspect, high level at mean of 4.12.

             2. The comparison of students towards moral and ethics promotion for students of Thamakawitthayakom school, Thamaka district, Kanchanaburi province, classified by personal data, found that sex, age, grade had the opinions to moral and ethics promotion for students of Thamakawitthayakom school, Thamaka district, Kanchanaburi province on overall were not different. The hypothesis was rejected.

             3. The problems, obstacles of moral and ethics promotion for students of Thamakawitthayakom school, Thamaka district, Kanchanaburi province, as following; some students are not diligent to study, some students do not understand the value of money, some students copy a friend's homework, some students lack discipline for themselves and others, some students do not talk politely, some students do not help to clean the classroom, school does not organize color sport competition annually, some students have no kindness to his friends. So there, the suggestions for moral and ethics promotion for students of Thamakawitthayakom school, Thamaka district, Kanchanaburi province; should be organized to support the development of moral and ethics promotion for students of Thamakawitthayakom school, Thamaka district, Kanchanaburi province, such as the diligence: The best readers: the savings: Book-Receipts, The honesty: growing up do not cheat. The discipline: row before-after activity, The Polite: good meanness activities such as Thailand, The cleanness: 5 S. classroom activities, The harmony: color sport activities, and the Kindness: volunteering for school development activities. Through these activities, schools should be organized annually.
