The old aged people who live in Helping Premises often have psychological problems. If they can lead them to practice Buddhadhamma Principle, should allow a better quality of life in last age, so the researcher has worked to analysis study of Budhadhamma for the old aged people in Helping Premises in NakhonpathomProvince. The objectives of this study are :- (1) to study the causality and the problems faced by the old aged people who are in the support of the helping premises, (2) to study the related principles of Buddhadhamma in the old aged peoples living in the statement of the Buddhist Tripitaka and (3) to analytically study and estimate the result of Buddhadhamma way. The result of the application of the Buddhist Doctrinal principle to carrying out their lives by the old aged people in the Helping Premises. How to research conducted by investigating the Buddhist Tripitaka, books and related research. And field research conducted by interviewing the 38 old aged people who are in support of the Helping Premises.
From the study of the causes and the states of problems faced by the old aged people, it is found that the cause by which the old aged people went to receive the support in the helping premises was that they had no one to look after them, no place to live in and that they were not happy in living in their families. Moreover, they have the following problems :- (1) in bodily aspect, they were suffering from the osteoparosis, the paresis, the myopia, the hypertension and heart disease. (2) in mental aspect, they are experienced in anxiety, depression and inactivity. ( 3 ) in social aspect, they are in apathy,
conflict and competition for a better position. (4 ) in economic and income aspect, it is found that most of the old aged people have no problems. They will have income from those who visited them or from their relations, sons, daughters and nephews. They also have some money saved before going to stay at the Helping Premises.
From studying the Doctrinal principles regarding the way of leading lives by the old aged people in the Buddhist scriptures, it is found that the Doctrinal principles supporting the development and the solution of the problems about the bodies are of the three characteristics (Tilakkhana), Five Aggregates (Pañcakhandha) and the Four Noble Truths (Catu-Ariyasacca). The Doctrinal principles supporting the development and the solution of the mental problems are the observing of the Five Precepts, the Threefold Training, Puññakiriyāvatthu and the development of Insight Meditation. The Doctrinal principles supporting the development and the solution of social problems in living together are the 8 Worldly Doctrines, the Four Divine States of Mind, the Four Bases of Social Solidarities, the Six Appreciative Actions, the Four Prejudices, the Forbearance and the Modesty. The Doctrinal principles supporting the development and the solution of the economical and income problems are the Four Paths of Accomplishment, being away from the path of ruins and the formation of the present benefits.
From the study, it is found that most of the old aged people apply the principles of Buddhadhamma to solving their life problems in four aspects, namely :- (1) The physical problem from which it is found that they accept the truth that the aggregates deteriorate according to the age. They believe in the laws of action, They have forbearance, accept their own situations and are free from attachment. (2 ) The mental problems from which it is found that the old aged people will lead their lives by making merits. They observe the Five Precepts and develop the Insight Meditation. (3) The social problems in living together from which it is found that they know how to associate with the good friends, have loving kindness and compassion to one another, know how to be indifferent, to have forbearance, to stop anger and greed. (4 ) The economical and income problems from which it is found that they lead their lives by way of knowing themselves, not being careless, stopping the causes of ruin.
